Do you like to be creative? Do you like to build things? Do you like to work with computers? Do you like to learn new things? Well, robotics might be the class to join.
Robotics meets once a week after school for two hours. Students learn how to work with an EV3 robot block and Lego Mindstrom EV3 programming. Currently we have three teams of approximately six students per team. Teams are responsible for preparing for the regional Lego Robotics Tournament in the spring by preparing a project based on the theme of the year, preparing a core values board, programming a robot to accomplish missions, and working on presentations for the judges.
To join our robotics teams, students need to fill out an application and if accepted into the program will have an entrance fee of $40. Families are required to help with fundraising throughout the year. We also need volunteers to help with coaching (no robot experience required to help).
"But Jesus looked at them and said to them, 'With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'" Matthew 19:26
